Earning Criteria for Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification


Course Completion

  • Successfully complete all modules and coursework within the Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Program.

  • Achieve a minimum passing grade in all assessments, quizzes, and assignments.


Practical Application

  • Demonstrate the ability to apply Lean Six Sigma principles and methodologies to real-world scenarios through case studies or project simulations.

  • Complete a capstone project that identifies and resolves a significant process improvement opportunity, using DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) methodology.

  • Showcase expertise in implementing tools such as Value Stream Mapping, Fishbone Diagrams, FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis), and Statistical Process Control (SPC).


Participation

  • Actively participate in all required discussions, workshops, and hands-on training activities.

  • Collaborate effectively in group projects, demonstrating leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

  • Provide peer support by mentoring Green Belt candidates or junior participants where applicable.


Knowledge Mastery

  • Pass a comprehensive final exam covering advanced Lean Six Sigma concepts, tools, and techniques.

  • Demonstrate mastery in topics such as process capability analysis, hypothesis testing, design of experiments (DOE), and Lean principles.

  • Show proficiency in statistical software and tools used for process improvement, such as Minitab or JMP.


Certification Requirements

  • Attend at least 80% of scheduled live sessions (if applicable).

  • Submit all required documentation, including project charters, process maps, and final project reports, by the designated deadlines.

  • Receive instructor approval on all final deliverables and project submissions.
